Haffey and Henley's Team both needed this win for different reasons. Henley needed the win to stay alive in the playoff race and clinch the eighth spot. Haffey, playing without three of its all-stars, was looking to show everyone that its ``team'' persona its projected all year was not a joke.

A win for Haffey would reassure its spot toward the top of the league and that it is still a force come playoff time. Henley's bats managed to find the holes in the Haffey defense as it strategically placed its hits through the first few innings. “Everyone played well tonight,'' said Ian Bonner. “(Max) Zizza and (Ryan) Pesaturo had big games for us.''

Taking an early lead, Haffey's fought back behind the play of Jake Meyer and Christian Kilburn. Both playing out of position on the defensive end, it served as an eye opener for the coming games against the league's best in the playoffs. Coming back in front in the fifth, it looked like the momentum had shifted and the consistency of Haffey's team would shine through.

With the season on the line, Henley's took a 10-8 lead in the sixth inning, behind the play of Bonner, Zach Miles, and Mike Trueblood. Unfortunately, as it wrapped up its win and kept its playoff hopes alive, Pro-Tech Auto was finishing off Dylan's Team to officially knock Henley's out of the postseason. “It was still a good season and we had a lot of fun,'' said Trueblood. “I think it'll be good next year to go into the draft and split up on different teams. I'm definitely looking forward to it.''
